Location in Plantation Neighbourhood

You will enjoy our convenient location in the centre of Amsterdam in a quiet and green neighbourhood. Shopping and dining is just steps away. Many of the museums, theaters and other places of interest can easily be reached on foot.

The Flying Pancake is located in the Eastern part of the Canal Girdle, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Our neighborhood is called The Plantation. This name refers to the 16-hundreds, when this part of Amsterdam within the fortification was used for gardens. In the beginning of the 17-hundreds it was assigned for housing.

Public transport

Near The Flying Pancake you will find tram lines 9 and 14. They stop at the Plantage Middenlaan at the stop called Artis Zoo/Plantage Kerklaan.

The nearest metro stops are Waterlooplein and Weesperplein, all metro lines stop here.
